FaceTite Q & A

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a minimally invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to reduce the appearance of loose, saggy skin on your face. FaceTite is FDA-approved to reduce skin laxity in the face and neck and provides a rapid contouring effect.

The device includes an electrode and a radiofrequency cannula. FaceTite provides internal fat lipolysis and external collagen contraction to reduce fat and tighten the appearance of your skin.

What imperfections does FaceTite correct?

Dr. Ozgur uses FaceTite to improve the appearance of loose skin in your:

  • Jowls
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Cheeks
  • Eyebrows
  • Mouth
  • Forehead
  • Jawline

Many patients opt for FaceTite treatments because they want to get rid of loose or sagging skin on their face. It’s an excellent alternative to a face-lift if you want to look younger and slimmer.

What happens during a FaceTite treatment?

Dr. Ozgur begins your FaceTite treatment by injecting a local anesthetic and providing an oral sedative to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Then, he makes a small incision near the treatment area and inserts the cannula part of the device.

The cannula releases radiofrequency energy, which travels through your skin to the electrode on the outside of your skin. As Dr. Ozgur moves the device through your skin, it liquifies your fat cells and tightens your collagen to create a smooth, contoured, youthful appearance. Your skin continues to tighten for up to six months following your FaceTite procedure.

The treatment doesn’t take long, and most patients report a comfortable warming sensation. You will need a friend or family member to drive you home after your procedure, as the sedative may leave you disoriented or sleepy for a few hours after your appointment.

Do I need to do anything special to take care of my skin after a FaceTite treatment?

After your FaceTite treatment, your skin may look a little red, but this quickly subsides. Dr. Ozgur recommends that you wear a compression garment for your head 24 hours a day for up to six days to optimize your results. You should continue to wear the compression garment while you sleep for another 3-6 months.

As always, you should wear sunscreen every day, even if you’re not planning on spending much time outside. The UV rays in sunlight can damage your skin and accelerate the aging process.
