Tightening the Skin On Your Body

If you could give your face a natural lift, smooth out wrinkles, and take years off of your skin, all while retaining a natural look, why wouldn’t you? Well, with skin tightening you can. There are no incisions, no operations, and no downtime. And the treatment looks completely natural.

At the offices of Omar Ozgur, MD, we understand that your appearance is important to you. We’re dedicated to providing solutions for your medical and cosmetic needs, and that’s why we’re proud to offer effective skin tightening treatments for your body.

Skin tightening explained

You may be skeptical of wrinkle reduction. You may be wondering how a laser treatment can tighten your skin without the need for surgery or even injectables. At our offices, we use FaceTite, a radiofrequency treatment that effectively tightens your skin.

FaceTite is FDA-approved. It’s gentle and safe for your skin, while still remaining an effective treatment for eliminating wrinkles and tightening skin. During your procedure, Dr. Ozgur applies a local anesthetic to the area that needs treatment. He then makes a small incision near this area, and inserts the cannula part of the FaceTite device into your skin.

The cannula delivers radiofrequency energy that travels throughout your skin, effectively tightening it and eliminating wrinkles. The treatment takes very little time, and your skin will keep tightening, with results showing up for up to six months following the procedure.

The benefits of skin tightening

With skin tightening, you can get all of the benefits of a face-lift without the pain of surgery and the nuisance of long recovery times. Skin tightening also provides you with an entirely natural look. Radiofrequency works by encouraging your body’s natural collagen production. So, you don’t have to worry about injecting any harsh chemicals into your face.

Another great thing about FaceTite is that the results are lasting! Although the number of treatments that you may need or want depends on you, you can still get great and lasting results from just one treatment.

What to expect after your procedure

The great thing about skin tightening is that it’s performed in an outpatient setting. Because it does involve anesthesia, you will require either a friend or family member to drive you home after your procedure. You may feel a bit drowsy or disoriented because of the light anesthesia.

Some patients have reported redness, but this usually disappears after 24 hours. We may recommend that you wear a compression garment for about 24 hours, and while you sleep for about 3 to 6 months. And, for best results, wear sunscreen to protect your skin.
